Welcome to Eastern Industries, a purpose-built music studio in the heart of Peterborough, UK.
Designed and crafted by Jason Emberton with the expertise of world-renowned acoustician John H. Brandt, the studio was built from the ground up for exceptional sound. (Explore the Studio Build page for a behind-the-scenes look.)
Jason is a sound engineer, musician, producer, and sound artist with over 30 years of experience working with artists worldwide. His work spans an eclectic range of genres, with a strong focus on world music—many of these projects earning critical acclaim.
His diverse clientele includes Virgin, Sony, ECM, and Universal Music, with collaborations ranging from independent artists to industry legends like Damon Albarn, Nick Cave, and members of Pink Floyd. He has performed at major festivals worldwide, including Glastonbury, and recorded deep in the medinas of Marrakech with the city’s renowned Gnawa musicians—later mixing an acclaimed album and performing alongside them.
Beyond the studio, Jason has worked extensively in film, TV, and audio branding, shaping projects for BMW, Red Bull, Volvo, Foster + Partners, Channel 4, and more. He’s also performed on BBC1’s Jonathan Ross Show with Vessels and worked at Notting Hill Carnival for Tim Westwood’s BBC show. His commissioned compositions include a collaboration at LSO St Luke’s for a PhD artist’s final project. (See showreel.)
